MOR GLAZ, association defending the sea, seafarers, maritime and industrial activities on the docks respectful of Human and Environment, welcomes the decision to build 4 vessels in PIRIOU'site in Concarneau(Brittany) for the Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry of Defence has made the right choice by entrusting the construction of " Bâtiments de Soutien et d'Assistance Hauturier" (BSAH) to a French shipyard and more precisely to the site in Concarneau, that has showed its seriousness in the field of innovation, construction and ship repair.

Piriou will build four vessels. According to our information, the first delivery should be done by the end of 2017. Although the General Director (DGA) have not yet confirmed this good news for administrative reasons, MOR GLAZ welcomes this excellent news for France, Brittany, Finistere and Concarneau.

For decades, PIRIOU site, its General Direction, shareholders, its employees demonstrate their expertise (without any pretention and with efficacy). "Know-how" and "innovation" that have just been rewarded justly.

The PIRIOU site in Concarneau has become over the years a reference site, able to diversify, to make civilian and military ships. MOR GLAZ reaffirms that only those sites that can diversify, innovate, will have a future, and therefore will be a reference for the Brittany Region in the field of technology and jobs. For years the association MOR GLAZ defends the rapprochement of civil and military.

At the launching of the yacht YERSIN in Concarneau, her shipowner, François Fiat, had hailed the expertise of the employees in the shipyard PIRIOU. He said "I hail your know-how and I will let it known".

MOR GLAZ would like all such ships and the followings, including the one that will be built for the General Council of Morbihan are equipped of JLMD ECOLOGIC SYSTEM.
